Hello Friends,
I’ve had a very relaxing weekend, one where for once I didn’t charge round catching up on chores. I spent it with friends, chatting, laughing, walking in the countryside and enjoying the beautiful weather.
We went to a pub in the next village over the other side of Frugal Hill and although I’ve been there many times over the years, I spotted a sign which read:
Happiness is a journey, not a destination.
There’s no point in waiting around and thinking, “I will be happy when x happens”, we have to grab every little bit of happiness as we go along. My life isn’t perfect, I don’t live in a perfect home, my plants get eaten or blown away, I have cooking disasters, and with all my heart I want to walk away from the world of work which we are fooled into thinking is good for us so that we can buy more stuff.
There are lots of things I’m working towards, but I’m learning to enjoy myself on the way. I’ve had a great time this weekend, and I’m feeling very refreshed and relaxed.
